                                                DEAR MOM

                                                  By Patricia Moore

Dear Mom,

Dad and I baked you some cookies for Mother's Day. We left them in the oven a little too long. They were starting to smell. But they sure are crunchy!

I  picked you some flowers from Grandma's garden. But then I remembered flowers make your nose run. So I gave them to Grandma. I think she liked them. She said they were beautiful.

I did make you a card. It was really pretty. But Sparkie, our dog, found the card and chewed it to pieces. I guess he was hungry.

I wanted to get you a great present for Mother's Day. So I thought and thought about what to get you. Then I remembered. Sister Ann taught us a special way to pray today.  Now I have a wonderful present!  Mom, I prayed the rosary for you!

          Happy Mother's Day!

          Love,

          Sarah
